Making doesn’t always look like activity. Rest is part of making. Thinking is part of making. Sitting quietly and letting space open again is part of making.
There is never a time when nothing is being made.
Time spent close to creative work — or close to the idea of it — still matters. It doesn’t need to become a piece. It doesn’t need to justify itself later.
Quiet doesn’t remove anything. Pausing doesn’t undo what’s already there. Uncertainty doesn’t disqualify anyone.
Time spent making room is not wasted time.
